Steve Stein is a specialist for information architecture and web usability. He has been deeply involved in the development of web based information architecture, applications and services for over a decade. Mr. Stein began his career in Bremerhaven as a webdesigner in 1996 and started his own company in 1999 while still in highschool. A few years later (2003) after several projects as a freelancer he successfully supervised the development of online services as project manager and team leader for various companies in Bremerhaven and Lübeck. In 2006 Mr. Stein continued his career in cologne as a consultant for information architecture and web based information systems. He soon became interim CTO of a social media network before he decided to spent one year (2009) as a lecturer for digital media in Kaiserslautern. Steve Stein was appointed CIO & CTO of a Berlin based company that produced the worlds first individualized newspaper ans currently works as an Information Architect in Karlsruhe.
Steve Stein possesses a Master of Science Degree in Digital Media from the International School of New Media at the University of Lübeck. His master thesis investigated the area of information architecture from a socio-technical perspective.
Mr. Stein graduated as a Computer Scientist from the University of Applied Sciences in Bremerhaven. His specialization is media informatics with a broad focus on Internet related technologies and online usability & accessibility. In his diploma thesis he proposed a fundamental structure for an XML/XSLT based content management system.

Steve Stein was CTO/CIO in a media company that produced an individualized newspaper. In his leading position he oversaw the complete development process, established partnerships with international companies and was responsible for the overall information architecture in all technological, marketing and user-experience related fields.
Steve Stein lead a team of developers and designer through the process of optimization and implementation of online trade fair portals. Besides planning and supervision of the development process Mr. Stein created a roadmap for search engine optimization and the integration of social media, evaluated the software deployment process and improved the information architecture and structure bottom up throughout a complete and complex template structure.
Steve Stein is a lecturer for courses in Digital Media. His portfolio includes classes in the areas about new media, online marketing, internet technologies and web design. Mr. Stein lead a group of external programmers (freelancers and agencies) and planned the complete software release cycle from requirements engineering to final approval. He was in charge of platform security, usability and developed and implemented concepts for mobile applications and external partnerships.
Steve Stein took up several appointments for the evaluation and implementation of online community solutions. During his master study Mr. Stein was entrusted with the conception, evaluation and optimization of multiple internet & intranet portals. He analyzed customer requirements, evaluated software frameworks and designed technical solutions for social network applications, intranet portals and search engine optimized information systems.
Steve Stein deepened his experience and understanding of programming languages/frameworks and web technologies during his study of computer science in a student employment. He soon became the main contact person for content management systems and took the technological lead for a small group of programmers in the local relaunch of the complete government online appearance. Mr. Stein trained programmers, users and government responsibles alike in the use, application and implementation of new technologies.
Steve Stein became self-employed during his high school time. He created homepages, web portals and online shops for his customers, advised them in technology solutions for their businesses and setup their computer and network infrastructure. The successful business attracted its customers mainly by word of mouth and eventually lead to a panel talk about youth self employment in the chamber of commerce in Bremen.
